Plenna ("the app", "we", "our") is operated by Mike Bleasdale. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
In short: We collect only what's needed to make the app work. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. You can delete your account and data at any time.
1. Data We Collect
Account information:
- Email address and password (for authentication)
App data:
- Shopping lists, items, and related content you create
- List sharing and collaboration data (who you share lists with)
Automatically collected:
- We do not collect analytics, device identifiers, location data, or usage tracking
2. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: Your email and password are used solely to sign you in and manage your account
- App functionality: Your lists and items are stored so they sync across your devices and with people you choose to share with
- Email invitations: When you invite someone to a shared list, we send them an email on your behalf using the Resend email service
3. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure)
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- The app also stores data locally on your device for offline access
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication) and Resend (email delivery) process data on our behalf to operate the app
- Collaboration: When you share a list, other members can see the list name, items, and your email address
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — all your data is visible within the app
- Delete your data — you can delete individual lists and items within the app, or request full account deletion by contacting us
- Export your data — contact us and we will provide a copy of your data
- Withdraw consent — you can stop using the app and request deletion at any time
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Plenna is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
